This isIt’s Community: Everyone needs Community. Mentorship with Susi is the beginning of forming community around your teaching! When you are learning, you are growing. When you are growing, you are the best teacher you can be. Once a week, Elite Piano Teachers meet for a group session of mentorship. Susi leads discussions on various topics—whatever has been the challenge of the week or the ongoing growth curve or the always-changing topic of neurodiversity in students—here’s where we share and grow as a community.

It’s Accountability: mentorship is On-Call. As your studio ebbs and flows, experiencing its own growth and development, Susi works one-on-one with teachers over the mentorship period to make sure each teacher’s needs are being met, belief is forming, tasks are being completed, and skills are developing, both technical and social. This is “as-needed” as often as needed.

It’s Growth: Some things remain constant during growth. A library of video instruction is the core of Mentorship, consisting of materials that guide teachers through every phase of studio ownership. From initial starting-out to working with parents and understanding readiness and developmental phases with children. From advanced technique in beginners to note-reading and ear-training. From recital preparation to daily practice guidelines. From the lofty inspirational and aspirational to the daily chart-logging and policy-making. All the ins and outs of running a business are included here.

It’s Wisdom Shared: So much of studio ownership is business-related concepts. Most of us are good at teaching, but not so good at running a business! Why re-invent the wheel yourself, though? Mentorship means passing down the wisdom of 30+ years of running a business straight down to you, in the form of documents, templates, class outlines, .pdfs, signs, website copy and more. Take the “ugh” out of the technical part of running a studio this way. a

What is the Cost?isMentorship packages start at $2500 for a 6-month period. Each teacher’s experience is unique and therefore requires a unique set of circumstances surrounding their growth.
